The project Les Pinceaux de l’Integration will be implemented in two border African countries, Mali and Burkina Faso, which are plagued by intercommunal conflicts of all kinds and other social crises. The project will be divided between three main activities: organizing a residency of artists in each of these 2 countries, creating a caravan of regional integration, which will be composed of art experts, academics, journalists and cultural actors, and finally holding a symposium/workshop in Mali on the theme artistic integration in Africa. As a prelude, the caravan will bring together a delegation of twenty people. Each country will house respectively a residence of 3 young experienced artists including 2 women and a man.
The project is led and coordinated by the NGO Centre Soleil dAfrique that works to revalorize contemporary visual arts, promote education and public awareness through art and organizes several exhibitions and training of young artists; in partnership with Ahoua YAMEOGO, a private cultural enterprise based in Burkina Faso, and Lassana DIARRA Galerie Medina, an association from Mali.
