The Action Jeunesse – DID project aims to transform the virtual interconnectivity of young people on social media into a lever for intercultural dialogue. The project is addressed to young people between 14 and 25, from disadvantaged backgrounds in the cities of Dakar, Saint Louis (Senegal) Cotonou, Parakou (Benin), Yaoundé, Douala (Cameroon). Activities, with an inclusive approach and sensitive to gender equality, will enhance the ability of young beneficiaries to contribute, promote and disseminate values, attitudes and behaviours conducive to intercultural dialogue. At the end of the project, the young beneficiaries will be agents of change, capable of engaging in intercultural dialogue to live in a multicultural environment respecting diversity and promoting the principles of tolerance and the culture of peace.
This project is led by the Association Rester et Réussir, a socio-cultural association whose aim is the promotion of self-employment and entrepreneurship for young people; in partnership with the Scoutisme Béninois and the Comité camerounais de promotion des droits humains des femmes.
